With baby-led weaning, your baby is in charge, the baby feeds herself! It might be the best thing to happen in the high chair since the invention of the bib.

Finger Foods
Finger foods are nugget size pieces of food that are given at the same time as the meal, to encourage the pincer grip.
Once your baby can hold things in her fingers, try giving her the following finger foods – under supervision
- peeled pear, banana
- seedless grapes, cut in half
- cubes of cheese
- toast
- cooked pasta
- sausage
- whole pieces of steamed vegetables that can be squished between your (mom’s) fingers easily.
Baby-led weaning has many advantages including helping your baby gain confidence by allowing her to choose what she wants to eat. Baby gets used to different food textures from the start and of course by feeding your baby the food you are eating which will be preservative-free baby food it is a win-win.
